Toddler humor!

On the cover of one of her Bible story books is a picture of Abraham and Sarah and possibly Lot and his wife. At least that’s what I told her when she asked who the second couple was.

“That’s probably Lot, Abraham’s nephew, and Lot’s wife.”

“Was Abraham’s nephew Lot a good man or a bad man?” she asked.

What a question!

“Well,” I replied, scrambling for an accurate response. “He was a good man who did some bad things.”

“Umm...” She paused to think – and then she asked: “Did he draw on the wall?”

How the wheels turn in that little head! I’m still laughing!

  1. Too cute. My Elizabeth has said some funny things lately too, but I didn't write them down, and now they're gone. :o(

  2. I know! If funny things get said in the car (where I can't write immediately), I don't remember the details by the time I get home... But this one was too good to let slip; I had to sit down at the computer right away!

  3. Hmmm . . . so does she know that "writing on the wall" equals bad behavior due to personal experience???

Kids are hilarious though! I'm sure I would laugh a lot less if I didn't have 4 little munchkins running around. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thankfully, the comment wasn't related to personal experience! But we have been constantly stressing that we color, draw, paint, etc. ONLY on paper or in coloring books -- not on walls or floors! So far, she's been listening and obeying -- in that area at least!

  5. One of my boys was about four when he announced to his uncle that he had learned to gargle. His uncle asked what he used to gargle with and he proudly answered "Mr Clean" (Listerine)
