Psalm 121:1-2 (NASB)
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.

Birds of North America
Three weeks ago we were in Uruguay – at camp and then in the campo (countryside) – admiring the beauty of God’s creation and especially the local birds.
This week, we’ve been studying a number of birds of the northern hemisphere – up close – in Dad and Mom Steel’s back yard in SC.
On Monday we were amazed that the smaller birds at the feeders did not even seem to notice the hawk in the nearby tree!
So far we’ve also seen (and photographed!) a number of favorites:
Cardinals & Bluebirds (males & females)
Carolina Wren, the South Carolina State Bird
Starling & Robin
Mockingbird, the former SC State Bird
Tufted Titmouse
(various) Sparrows
And several others we are trying to identify...
We also saw (and are hoping to photograph!) what is either the Red-Headed Woodpecker or the Red-Bellied Woodpecker.
So thankful for these “real life” educational opportunities!
