Sonidos Serranos: Sounds of the Sierras...
Reflecting some of my family's interests: God's wonderful creation (especially mountains and hills!), music, and language...

Psalm 121:1-2 (NASB)

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.

Jesus, Healer of my Soul

Four weeks ago tonight, God graciously gave Jona ultimate triumph and complete healing, and Jona entered the presence of his Savior whom he had, by Gods grace, so faithfully served right up to the end.

As I relive memories of those last almost four weeks of struggle and especially the precious moments God gave us in the final hours, Ive been thinking of a hymn that was written for Jona.

Thank-you, dear friends, for your ministry to Jona in those final days; he was keenly interested in reading the words as he listened to the recording you sent of the hymn. May God bless you for your ministry in encouraging him (and us, too, as his extended family).

Jesus, Healer of my Soul

Jesus, Healer of my soul,
Wash me now and make me whole.
Stricken come I, Lord, to Thee,
Marred by sins impurity.
Bind my wounded heart in love,
Grant Thy cleansing from above.
Wash me now and make me whole,
Jesus, Healer of my Soul.

Jesus, Keeper of my soul,
Hold me fast while billows roll.
Though the raging of the sea
May surround and swallow me,
Sheltered by Thy mighty arm,
Safe am I from every harm.
Hold me fast while billows roll,
Jesus, Keeper of my soul.

Jesus, Master of my soul,
Yield I now to Thy control,
Ever clinging close to Thee.
May I serve Thee faithfully.
Til at last in Heavn I stand,
Only guide me with Thy hand.
Yield I now to Thy control,
Jesus, Master of my soul.
