Sonidos Serranos

Sonidos Serranos: Sounds of the Sierras...
Reflecting some of my family's interests: God's wonderful creation (especially mountains and hills!), music, and language...

Psalm 121:1-2 (NASB)

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.

April 20: Jona is Home

Jona is Home. Tonight God gently and mercifully carried him Over There. Now more than ever, Jona’s greatest desire is that you should one day join him Over There.

We Want You Over There

We're going home to glory soon
To see the city bright,
To walk the golden streets of heav'n,
And bask in God's own light.
But some of you are out of Christ
And held by many a snare –
We cannot leave you lost and lone;
We want you Over There.

The pearly gates are open wide,
And we shall enter in –
To know thenceforth no tear or sigh,
No sorrow and no sin.
O come with us, and come at once!
That land is bright and fair!
We cannot leave you lost and lone;
We want you Over There.

We come to tell the story true
Of love so rich and free!
A crucified and risen Lord
Has grace for you and me!
O listen to the words of love
His messengers declare!
We cannot leave you lost and lone;
We want you Over There.

We once were burdened sore with sin,
And dark were we and sad;
But Christ has washed us in His blood,
And He has made us glad!
Fly to His wounds, ye guilty ones;
His love and mercy share.
We cannot leave you lost and lone;
We want you Over There.

Dear family,
He's well now. But we feel for you. Now we will continue praying for Esteban, Ester, Marcos, and all of you who have accompanied Jona during his time on Earth. We have not met him here, but we have been blessed by his life. We look forward to joining him in Heaven some day. He must be singing His praises as we have heard him sing on those lovely videos.
The Lord answered my prayer. He kept him to be with you a little longer, but He gave him a sweet passing into Glory.

God bless you and comfort you. We will be praying
Maribel

I'm not sure who called me, but thank you for letting me know about Jona's passing. He is in heaven now and free from the pain he has endured for so very long. I am very sad for those left behind, but I am also so happy for Jona
who is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Praise God for His goodness to Jona and to us. We have much to be thankful for. Our heavenly Father cares for us not only in this world, but for all eternity. Jona is free from sin, sickness, and sorrow. We will miss him dearly. And now we focus on how happy we are for him, and rest in the knowledge that our loving heavenly Father knows all things well...and knows best. Thank you Lord, and increase our faith.

We will continue to pray for you and your family. Hona is safely Home and only when we stand before the Lord will we know the impact that he and your family have had on many lives. Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Jona joined our son Andrew in Heaven on the day that would have been his tenth birthday. We grieve with you, dear family. And we rejoice that we will see them again one day. With so much love and understanding,

We are so thankful for Jona's testimony 'til the end. We were rebuked at his "thumbs up" when asked how he was doing this past Monday when it was so obvious that he wasn't doing very well at all. God's grace was sufficient for him and he glorified Him all the way.
Blessed be the name of the Lord. We know he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
We will continue to pray for you folks in the coming days.

With much love in Christ,
Pastor Franco and family
